SOI-Seattle is on the move, with new inspiration, new participants and new direction! You can join in this energy by offering your skills, talents and experience;  volunteering is a wonderful way to make new friends and feel connected. If you have people and/or technical skills in volunteer coordination, data management, web content, or social media; if you are interested in spreading the word about our activities or helping events run smoothly;  or if you just like to help out as needed, we would like to hear from you.

Here are some specific needs:

  • Volunteer Coordinator who will help match volunteers with organizational needs.  Someone who loves people and has a talent for placing people in positions they will enjoy and excel at.  Serves as a liaison between SOI-SEA Board and the community.
  • Publicity Coordinator who will help notices about our events reach the greater community (press relations, social media and communications experience helpful).
  • Assistant to our Membership Manager who will help  keep contact info up to date and synchronized with the emailing program and database (database and donor software experience helpful).
  • Web content people to generate new blog entries and features
  • Photographers who will take photos at classes and events and submit high quality images to keep the website lively
  • Housing coordinator to create and maintain a list of community members who may want to host out of town event participants
  • People to help with events – publicity, hospitality, refreshments, set up, cleanup

These are just a few of the ways to make SOI-Seattle part of your life. If you can fulfill the needs listed above or if you have other skills to offer, please send us an email. Seattle-Inayati@comcast.net   Check back often as we will be regularly updating this list.

Thanks for your interest in sharing your talents and skills with our community;  we look forward to working with you!
